May 1, 2021, two black cats began hanging around outside the house.  Later, I would name them Momma Kat and Blackie, the bonded mother and daughter.   Momma Kat allowed me to pet her a few weeks after our meeting.  Blackie would run away, and head bump her Mama.  It would take one year exactly before she allowed me to pet her.

After a couple of weeks, I noticed their ears were cut.  I thought that someone may have hurt them both.  Through joining Feral/Stray Groups on social media, I learned that it is actually called a tipped ear and this procedure is for feral/strays, and it is done while they are being spayed and neutered.  What a relief!
